STEP 2: For galvanised gutters, wash the gutters with Plascon Metalcare Waterbased Degreaser and rinse well with clean water and allow to dry.

STEP 3: For galvanised gutters, prime the gutters with Plascosafe 18 Primer for an extremely high performance barrier against rust.

STEP 4: Finish your gutters off with 2 coats of Plascon Metalcare Waterbased Enamel for a durable long-lasting and chalk-resistant finish. Plascon Metalcare Waterbased Enamel is available in a wide range of tinted colours.

    • Hi M.F. Bassa, if you are referring to an asbestos roof and primer we advise that it gets cleaned by the local municipality as it a dangerous substrate. Once clean you need to apply one coat of Bonding Liquid (CVI14), allow 16 hours to dry then apply two coats of Nuroof Cool – allowing two hours drying times between coats. Nuroof Cool comes with the 12 year guarantee. To register the guarantee give us a call on 0860 20 40 60 within 30 days of purchase.

  1. Please assist in preping and painting fascia boards. I am not sure if they are fibre cement or asbestos. House is about 30 years old. The paint starts to lift or peel after a few months. I prep with sanding and cleaning, then apply Plascon Plaster Primer, then use Wall & All to paint. I have also tried using Polvin.

    • Hi Paul, thanks for getting in touch. Here’s what you need to do.

Remove the paint completely back to a bare surface. Prime with one coat of Bonding Liquid (CVI14). Allow drying for 16 hours and paint with two coats of Wall & All – allowing 2 hours drying time between coats.

    • Hi Peter, unfortunately we do not have a full waterproofing system or products that can be used in a shower room; this case requires a waterproofing specialist. Please contact Coprox on 011 5794300, it’s a waterproofing company which will be able to assist in this regard.

  2. I am going to repaint my gutters with roof paint. They are painted with enamel at the moment. Please advise whether I need to apply a primer or undercoat first.

  3. I want to paint aluminium furniture with Nuroof Cool (I am already using this for metal balustrades and gates).
The aluminium is generally still covered by the original paint (was most likely powder coating) – only small areas of aluminium are exposed.

Do I need any specific preparation? I note mention of PLASCOSAFE 18 PRIMER on this website.

    Thank you
